The 51^st Kerala State Film Awards was announced on October 16th Saturday by Saji Cherian, the Hon. Minister of Kerala Film Development Corporation.  Actor Jayasurya bagged the best actor award for his spectacular performance in VELLAM and Anna Ben through her naturalistic performance in KAPPELA won the best actress award.

Actress and director Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Kannada director P Sheshadri and Bhadran were part of the jury.

 Nearly 80 films that were released in 2020 were considered for the KERALA    STATE   FILM   AWARDS  2021.
